Organised by the "Cinemateca del Friuli" (Gemona) and "Cinemazero" (Pordenone).
Since 1999, the festival has taken place in Sacile, 15 km. from Pordenone - due to the demolition of the Verdi Theatre, where the festival had resided from 1985 to 1998.
From 2007 on, the festival takes place again in Pordenone in the "Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi".
